How to prepare matcha tea traditionally?
Put 1-2 grams of Matcha powder into a Matcha bowl. This corresponds to approx. 1-2 heaped spoonfuls with the Matcha bamboo spoon Chashaku.
Add about 50 ml of hot water; about 70 to 80 degrees is optimal, hotter temperatures destroy ingredients of the matcha tea.
Now whisk the tea with the matcha broom Chasen in zigzag movements until it has a foamy consistency. This takes about 20 seconds.
If the taste of pure matcha tea is too intense for you, you can now dilute the tea by adding more hot water..
